The Belt Team is proud to announce that we just sold ANOTHER listing at a price ABOVE the Zillow “Zestimate”. . . this time at $28,000 above. (Our last listing to go under contract sold for $79,000 above the “Zestimate”.)
We’d say that makes the score:
Belt Team – 2
Zillow – 0

Hi Belt Team,
Rachel from Zillow here. I”m glad you posted this. As you know, a zestimate is not a guess at market value, but rather a starting point for home owners and professionals to discover what the market value is. I.E. To know the current SELLING market value of a home, you must be “in the field.” For an agent to come up with a value they want to list a home at, they would need to visit other homes currently on the market, and look at recent solds in the area. Hopefully, the realtor was the listing agent of some of the recent solds, or had “shown” them.
This post proves that a Zestimate does not hinder a seller’s ability to sell a home at the market price. This is where great realtors like yourselves come in . Go Belt Team!
