Dunn Loring, Virginia 22027

Dunn Loring is a census-designated place in Fairfax County, Virginia. It adjoins both Vienna and Tysons Corner. Dunn Loring was founded in 1886 and is the earliest platted subdivision in Fairfax County. General William McKee Dunn and his wife purchased about 600 acres of land in 1886. On September 22, 1886, they transferred it to the Loring Land and Improvement Company composed of General Dunn and George B. Loring, a former Congressman and Commissioner of Agriculture. The Town of Dunn Loring was advertised for residential sales in 1887. Following World War II, the area began to develop as part of Washington, D.C. It is now a comfortable residential area consisting of single family homes, townhomes and condominiums.
